We are seeking a skilled IT Field Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support to our clients in various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach to resolving IT issues. The IT Field Support Engineer will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems, as well as providing timely resolution and support to end-users. This role requires flexibility in working hours and the ability to travel to different client sites within UAE as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues to appropriate teams or vendors when necessary.
Respond to service requests and inquiries in a timely manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Document and track all support activities, including resolutions, in the ticketing system.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify recurring issues and recommend solutions to improve overall system performance.
Conduct hardware and software upgrades as required, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption to perations.
Provide training and technical guidance to end-users on the use of IT systems and applications.
Stay updated on the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in IT support to enhance skills and knowledge.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security standards to maintain a secure and efficient IT environment.
Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar role, with a focus on field support in UAE.
Any IT certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are desirable.
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
Familiarity with ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering high-quality support services.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
