Job Title: HR Director

Job Overview:

The HR Director will lead and oversee the organization’s human resources operations, strategies, and initiatives. This role will be responsible for developing HR policies, managing talent acquisition, supporting employee engagement, guiding leadership on HR-related matters, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy & Leadership:

    • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to determine workforce needs and develop strategies to achieve goals.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a collaborative and effective HR department.
  • Talent Management & Development:

    • Oversee recruitment, talent acquisition, and onboarding processes.
    • Develop employee training and development programs to enhance skills and leadership abilities.
    • Implement employee retention strategies and improve the overall employee experience.
  • Performance Management:

    • Oversee the performance management system, including appraisals and goal setting.
    • Provide advice and support to managers on performance improvement, feedback, and coaching.
  • Compensation & Benefits:

    • Design and manage compensation and benefits packages to ensure competitiveness in the market.
    • Conduct salary surveys and recommend adjustments to keep the company’s offerings attractive.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement:

    • Foster a positive work environment, handling employee relations issues, conflicts, and grievances.
    • Promote employee engagement programs to enhance morale, motivation, and retention.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, employment standards, and regulations.
    • Handle employee legal matters, including disputes, terminations, and compliance issues.
    • Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and reflect current legislation.
  • HR Systems & Reporting:

    • Oversee HR software and tools to manage employee records, payroll, benefits, and other HR functions.
    • Prepare reports on HR metrics (turnover rates, recruitment, training effectiveness) and present them to the executive team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in human resources management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement HR policies that support the organization’s mission and vision.

Preferred Skills:

  • SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent HR certification.
  • Experience in organizational development and talent management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to execute plans effectively.
