( hospital Supply Chain Manager )
Job purpose:
· Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the supply chain function at Abla Al-Kahlawy Hospital. This includes strategic planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and vendor management. The Supply Chain Manager ensures the efficient and cost-effective flow of materials and supplies to support the operations of the hospital.
Supply Chain Manager Responsibilities & Duties
· Implement supply chain strategies and initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and cost- effectiveness.
· Plan and coordinate the procurement of goods and services, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.
· Oversee inventory management, including accurate tracking, forecasting, and optimization of inventory levels.
· Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
· Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand, plan for future needs, and mitigate supply chain risks.
· Streamline logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of supplies.
· Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
· Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Education:
· Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.) Hospital background preferred(
· additional certification or training in Supply chain management is preferred
Experience
· Have at least + 7 years of Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital.
General skills:
· Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
· Confidence in performance of duties.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Able to take initiative.
· Adaptability to stressful situations.
·  Willing to learn more and grow in experience.
Professional skills & abilities
· Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices.
