One of the top K-12 private international school’s in Riyadh is seeking a Librarian. This individual will be committed to empowering our students to become critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers and ethical users of information. The successful candidate will have skill, experience and enthusiasm in both the library and classroom environments.
Responsibility & Duties
• Maintaining a strong, successful library program for Primary School and High School students including teaching scheduled classes focusing on reading, research skills and technology integration
• Provide reference assistance, research consultation and recommendations to students, team members and staff.
• Assist student, team members and staff with finding reference materials and leisure reading materials when asked.
• Maintain library inventory and conduct periodic audits of the information on file
• Help student, team members and staff navigate the electronic records and periodicals
• Read stories to groups of children
• Check books and other materials in and out of the library
• Teach patrons how to use the electronic database and its functions
• Manage the acquisitions of new materials
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in librarianship from an accredited librarian school
• Minimum two years of full-time experience in a school library
• Experience working with electronic databases of library materials
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• English written and spoken is a must
