Graphic Designer Job Description
Directly responsible for the overall design and illustrative/graphic /visuals for use in exhibition
display or department/ company/client. Serves as principle coordinator for graphic publication production. Works collaboratively with the department head and/or contributing authors to realize a final product.
Responsibilities
-Responsible for all the graphic visuals, designs and concepts.
-Required to work closely with the sales and operations team to
conceptualize ideas and submit proposals in a timely manner.
-Must play an active role in providing creative ideas.
-Must participate actively in the brainstorming sessions and processes.
-Participate in meetings as and when required for specific projects.
-Follow through the projects from beginning to the end ensuring the
highest quality standards.
Typical Duties
1. Coordinates all administrative aspects of production, including preparing final designs for
presentation, checking and approving color, copy, text format separations, and scaling
images for print production. Ensures that all parties are informed of and meet deadlines.
2. Prepares layouts, designs, art work and formats for use in publication and /or exhibition
design;
3. Layout and scale photos, marking them for proper screen values for print reproduction;
4. Designs, lays out, and produces artwork;
5. Organizes copy flow and maintains database/bibliographic/archival retrieval system of all
references used in creation of materials;
6. Coordinate and prepare specifications for obtaining estimates for final approval;
7. May handle copyright, reprint, and permission processes;
8. Performs related duties as required.
Pre-Requisites
-Diploma/Degree in Interior Design or equivalent.
-At least 3 years of experience in the event, interior design or exhibition industries.
-Proficient in 3D Studio Max, Photoshop CS6, Adobe Illustrator and AutoCAD.
-Creative individual with good design flair.
-Excellent time management with a proven ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
