Installation, Testing and Commissioning Engineer
Typical duties and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
1- Commissioning and testing of substation equipment and systems, including circuit breakers, switches, transformers, relays, annunciators, Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), substation Metering Panel, communication gateways, and Substation LAN’s, Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substations.
2- Monitor the site installation activities and ensure sub-contractor’s quality of work achieves the desirable quality level.
3- Undertake site test & commissioning activities. Undertake functional tests and ensure that all interfaces to the signaling system are appropriately tested according to the specification.
Skills
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the field of testing and commissioning of the following
• Testing and Commissioning of Switchgears
• Testing and Commissioning Transformers
• Testing and Commissioning Protection System & Control Scheme.
• Experienced in testing and commissioning of HV & MV cables.
• Experienced in preparation of Method statements for testing and commissioning works.
• Experienced in substation SAS/SCADA as added advantage.
