Senior System Administrator Opportunity . Egyptian Group for Pharmaceutical Industries (EGPI)
EGPI is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join our team in El Obour City. This role requires expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, system monitoring, and enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain software, hardware, and network infrastructure.
Manage and monitor network servers, virtualization platforms, and technology tools.
Set up and manage user accounts, workstations, and access controls.
Ensure system security through **firewalls (Sophos preferred), intrusion detection systems, and VPN site-to-site connections**.
Perform **proactive system monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance**.
Configure and manage **backup and storage solutions (NAS, cloud, on-premises), disaster recovery, and enterprise antivirus solutions**.
Oversee and support **ERP systems, email systems, and business applications**.
Handle **light current systems, including CCTV, VoIP, and access control**.
Upgrade systems with the latest releases and models.
- Provide technical training and support to staff on new technologies.
- Develop and maintain IT documentation, policies, and internal wikis.
Collaborate with external service providers and negotiate agreements.
Stay up to date with emerging IT trends to optimize technology utilization.
Requirements:
5-8 years of experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, VSphere Data Center (ESXi, VCenter, Web Client).
Expertise in LAN/WAN networks, system security, patch management, and backup/recovery .
Hands-on experience with **firewalls (Sophos preferred), VPN site-to-site connections, and enterprise antivirus solutions.
Proficiency insystem monitoring, backup solutions (NAS, cloud, on-premises), and disaster recovery strategies .
Experience managing ERP systems, email systems, and business applications.
Knowledge of light current systems, including CCTV, VoIP, and access control.
Hands-on experience with Python, Perl, or other scripting languages.
CCNA and MCSA certifications are required.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical support skills.
Preferably a resident of Obour City or nearby areas.
