Procurement Senior Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Senior Engineer to support the procurement process for subcontract services, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation, project management, and vendor evaluation skills to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Research & Evaluation: Conduct research to identify potential vendors for subcontract services and assess their offerings.

Supplier Comparison: Compare and evaluate supplier proposals to ensure optimal quality and pricing.

Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms, agreements, and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers.

Order Management: Track and manage orders to ensure timely delivery and proper documentation.

Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of purchased products, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of site and project managers.

Data Entry & Record Keeping: Input order details such as vendor information, quantities, and pricing into internal systems, and maintain updated records of all transactions, deliveries, and invoices.

Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present purchase reports, including cost analysis and tracking metrics.

Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure products are stored properly and monitor orders according to site needs.

Industry Trends: Stay informed on industry trends by attending trade shows and exhibitions.

Supplier Relationship Management: Support the inclusion of new suppliers in various trades and review catalogs for possible vendor additions.

Submittals & Approvals: Prepare submittals for consultant and client approval according to selected vendors and internal department standards.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and regulations, conduct job risk assessments, and manage environmental concerns within procurement processes.

Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Experience: A minimum of 6 to 8 years in a similar role within project procurement, with strong experience in contract development, award, administration, and close-out.

Skills & Competencies:
Strong technical and practical knowledge of procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and English.
Proven project management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
