Job Overview:
We need a DevOps Engineer with Jira migration experience to move our Jira Cloud setup to an on-premises environment (Jira Data Center or Server). You should have hands-on experience with Jira administration, migrations, and server infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute the migration from Jira Cloud to on-premises (Jira Data Center/Server).
• Set up, configure, and optimize the on-prem Jira environment.
• Migrate projects, issues, users, permissions, workflows, and custom fields.
• Ensure data integrity and troubleshoot any migration issues.
• Manage database, plugins, integrations, and API dependencies.
• Provide post-migration support and documentation.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in Jira Cloud to on-premises migration.
• Strong Jira administration skills (workflows, permissions, customizations).
• Experience with Linux/Windows servers and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL).
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools, migration assistants, and scripting (Python, Shell, Groovy).
• Understanding of networking, SSL, reverse proxies (NGINX, Apache), and security.
