We're Hiring: Health and Safety Manager
We are looking for a highly experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Lusail International Circuit This role is critical in ensuring a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace by implementing health and safety policies, managing risk assessments, and leading compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies in compliance with legal and industry standards.
-Conduct risk assessments, audits, and workplace inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
-Ensure all safety systems and fire safety measures are in place, with staff trained in monitoring and emergency response.
-Provide training and awareness programs on workplace safety, emergency procedures, and compliance.
-Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring proper reporting and corrective actions.
-Establish and maintain a proactive safety culture by collaborating with management and employees.
-Monitor workplace safety hazards and implement necessary mitigation strategies.
-Maintain compliance with local and international occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and external stakeholders regarding compliance and reporting.
-Lead the management of LIC's Sustainability and Environmental Program.
-Establish a professional and positive relationship with employees, contractors, and external partners.
-Conduct regular safety meetings to share best practices and updates.
Qualifications & Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
-NEBOSH, CSP, OSHA, or equivalent certifications preferred.
-Minimum 8 years of experience in a health, safety, and fire safety leadership role, preferably in the events and construction industry
-Strong knowledge of HSE laws, fire safety, risk management, and sustainability programs, ensuring compliance with local regulatory safety standards and codes.
-Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs, training initiatives, and emergency response procedures.
-Ability to create high-level HSE documentation and reporting procedures for clients and internal teams.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, including Civil Defense, MOI, and Contractors.-In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations, industry best practices, and risk mitigation strategies.
-Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying safety procedures to diverse teams.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick, effective decisions in high-pressure situations.
-High-visibility presence on the ground during events and critical operational works.
