NMC Company is seeking a talented and experienced (3years atliest) GIS Specialist to join our team in the Um Rus Area, near Marsa Alam Airport. We are looking for candidates with experience in using the following programs:
ITI holders
ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ENVI, Snap, Microsoft Office, and must have the ability to work with 3D software.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
GIS Expertise: Ability to handle spatial data and create maps.
Data Analysis Skills: Understanding of statistical methods for data interpretation.
Python Programming: Experience in automating tasks and developing custom scripts.
Geological Knowledge: Strong understanding of geological concepts and processes.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues in data and models.
Job Description:
A GIS specialist is responsible for building and maintaining GIS databases and utilizing specialized software to analyse spatial and non-spatial information in the databases.
Performing data collection and analysis for GIS products.
Overseeing data flow, management, and distribution activities to support GIS operations.
Maintaining up-to-date and accurate geospatial documentation for reference purposes.
Providing support in the development of work plans for complex projects.
Efficiently managing geospatial databases and developing effective maps and aerial photography.
Job Requirements:
Strong analytical thinking skills to effectively analyse information and databases.
Good verbal and written communication skills, along with interpersonal abilities to effectively communicate and collaborate with departmental staff and management.
In-depth knowledge of GIS tools, as the GIS specialist is expected to work with various GIS tools.
Attention to detail to work with databases and analyse information.
Proven years of work experience(not less than 3 y), either professionally or through internships.
A bachelor’s degree in Faculty of Science.
