Ask D Recruitment & HR Professional is currently hiring an Engineering Manager for one of the Software Solutions companies in Dokki, Egypt.

This is a full-time office-based opportunity. 8 hours flexible with core hours 12 PM - 4 PM. Social and Medical Insurances provided.

Job Responsibilities:
● Maintaining a healthy team culture.
● Maintaining agile processes.
● Maintaining cross-functional collaboration.
● Providing technical support to the development team as needed.
● Ensuring accountability for team deliverables in terms of quality and timelines.
● Maintaining coding standards.
● Fixing and improving existing software.
● Documenting APIs and code.
● Hiring for technical positions.
● Onboarding new engineers.
● Conducting code reviews.
● Designing learning paths for engineers.
● Scheduling and conducting one-on-one meetings.
● Resolving engineer conflicts and incidents.
● Conducting quarterly performance evaluations for software engineers.
● Scheduling and managing deployments to live environments.
● Preparing technical designs and documentation for system features.
● Coaching junior engineers.
● Serving on-call for live environment uptime incidents (based on a rotation schedule).
● Managing development lifecycle tools (e.g., JIRA, JIRA Reports, Bitbucket).
● Possessing product ownership knowledge (preferred).
● Setting and tracking team-level goals (OKRs/KPIs).
● Managing stakeholder relationships and communication.
● Performing risk assessment and mitigation.
● Managing career development and succession planning.
● Encouraging and facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions (e.g., tech talks).
● Collaborating with cross-department teams.

Job Requirements:
● 8 to 15 years of experience developing web applications.
● 4 to 8 years of team management experience.
● Experience with at least two of the following: C, Python, Go, Javascript, NodeJS, Django, Java.
● Experience with GNU/Linux.
● Experience with SCRUM.
● Experience with several web architectural patterns.
● Conducted code reviews & developer evaluations
● Experience managing conflict and communication issues.
● Ability to translate business requirements into technical features design.
● Hiring Experience.
● Fluent English.
